Ireland vs South Africa
Cricket – One Day International
South Africa returned to Ireland after 14 years and come off a T20 series win in the West Indies. Their batting has been under the microscope in recent months, however, the first ODI was rained out and they did not get a chance to show what they can do.
In the few overs that were bowled, Ireland managed to get up to 195-4, after half centuries by Balbirnie and Porterfield in between the rain breaks.
Similar overcast and windy conditions are forecast for todays game, with the possibility of rain not ruled out.
The batsman will struggle in these conditions and with rain a concern and the possibility of the DLS coming into effect and thus shortening the game, we don’t expect to see high scores in todays game.
We are backing no batsmen to score more than 103 runs.
Highest Individual score Under 103.5 @ 1.80
