Euro 2020 – Semi-Final 1

All eyes will be on Wembley Stadium when Italy and Spain go head to head in the EURO 2020 semis. The Italians have been impressive at the showpiece tournament, with the team setting up a meeting with Spain by beating Belgium 2-1. Spain thrashed a weak Slovakia side in the group stage and at times were excellent against Croatia but on form so far Italy deserves to be favourites.

On the evidence of both team’s games so far at these finals, it should be an open and entertaining match. Over 2.5 goals catch the eye and that stands a chance as four of Italy’s five games at the Euros have delivered three goals. Both teams to score also looks like a good price. Italy have scored the first goal in 16 of their last 17 internationals, and although Spain has a squad stacked with talent they haven’t looked particularly watertight thus far, shipping four goals across their last two matches, not to mention La Roja have recorded just three clean sheets in eight of their last 11 competitive contests.

They have however scored 12 times across their last four matches at Euro 2020 and they’ve shaken off their tag as the side who can’t make a breakthrough.
