Champions League – Qualification – Final
There will be fireworks when Shakhtar Donetsk and Monaco square off agaisnt each other at OSC Metalist in the Champions League playoffs, return leg. The Miners proved their worth in the 1-0 win at Stade Louis II, and, no doubt, they are brimming with confidence ahead of the return leg.
Shakhtar are averaging two goals per-game over their last four games and have conceded just once, while Monaco have failed to score in each of their last three fixtures. This doesn’t bode well for the visitors here from an attacking point of view against a side who are currently on a run of three consecutive clean sheets and the superior all-round quality of this strong Shakhtar Donetsk unit along with home advantage being in their favour should see them secure victory in this second leg.
