Poland vs  England

Europe: World Cup Qualifiers

There will be fireworks when Poland and England go head to head in the Group I derby on Wednesday evening. The Poles aim to build on back-to-back wins over Albania (4-1) and San Marino (7-1), and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach.

Poland’s Robert Lewandowski has scored in each of his last eight appearances, scoring 13 times. He’s also been in fine scoring form for club side Bayern Munich with seven goals in four games this season.

Both teams made the net bulge in each of Poland’s last six meaningful matches, and the Poles have notched at least once in each of their last eight competitive contests, while star-studded side England have bagged at least a brace in each of their five qualifiers so far and both teams scored when these sides met at Wembley in March.
