It’s the first round of the English Championship, and freshly relegated Fulham open their account at home against Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough lost 4 of their 6 trips to the top 6 last season, scoring only twice. Fulham have won 7 of their last 9 Championship home games and manager Marco Silva has a track record of fast starts with his English sides.

Fulham are title favourites to bounce straight back to the top flight and win the English Championship this season. The Boro, were producing fine displays in pre-season, but it has to be noted that their rivals were anything but strong. The club chiefs did well to keep hold of Chuba Akpom in the summer transfer window, and the former Arsenal attacker is likely to pose a big threat to the opposition back-line. Anyhow, a home win should be considered as Marco Silva has a number of high-profile players to choose from.
