Sevilla play host to Salzburg at their Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in what is expected to be a very exciting game. Los Sevillanos were not in action in La Liga at the weekend, meaning that tired legs are unlikely to prove to be a big problem for the home team.

Sevilla have won seven of their last eight competitive home games. Sevilla progressed automatically for the group stage of the Champions League and did not have to go through the qualifiers. They have made a fine start to the Spanish La Liga this season with two wins and a draw from their opening three matches. Salzburg have a poor record in the group stage of the Champions League and claimed just one win last season. They also struggle on the road and have lost their last two away matches in the group stage.

Given the extended period of rest and their European experience, Sevilla should come out on top in this one.
