Jameson Taillon (4-4, 4.90 ERA, 4.48 xFIP) gets the ball for New York opposite Martín Pérez (7-5, 4.04 ERA, 4.66 xFIP) for Boston. Pérez and Taillon have the ability to neutralize each other on the mound, but Boston’s edge on offense makes them the side to wager on.

The Red Sox seem to have enough depth in the batting department to make us lean toward the underdog in this match-up. Although Pérez has not been at his best lately, he has been amazing away from home, with a record of 4-1, ERA of 2.04 35 hits in almost 40 innings pitched with 30 strikeouts.

We’re hoping that confidence will carry him in a solid performance here against the Yankees.
